I tested the seal with water as soon as I received it by filling the bag with water. Slowly turning the bag upside down will keep it closed, but if you apply force to the bag when it's full, the clasp will open, so you can't turn the bag upside down at any speed and definitely can't shake it. The pouches are thick and seem strong, but I wouldn't trust them to seal liquids or anything heavy.

This is disappointing. I filled each half with water, vented the excess air and placed them upside down in the dishwasher/over the sink. Only one has not expired. They claim they are "sealed". They take up a lot of space in the dishwasher because they really have to go through 3-4 prongs to stay open - they have to spread out to stand up straight. These are very cute Mickey storage bags and as a Disney fan I had to try them. They're good for dry snacks, but if you put fruit like watermelon or something in them they'll collect juice, I wouldn't use it for that. These bags appear to be very strong but I wouldn't say they are airtight. I filled them halfway with water and laid them on their side on the counter and they dripped a bit around the corners because of the zippers.
