So easy to install and great value for money.

What a simple project. It was exactly as advertised. I had to buy longer screws but any excuse for a visit to the hardware store is fine and I'm sure the screws sent will be used another day. Now I'm much more comfortable having a brace on that flimsy steel bumper, even though it will weigh the weight of a factory spare like that. Thank you, great product and for the way it was made I really feel like I got my money's worth.

Not suitable for all caravans, please check

That's versatility for you. Be a part of the current events that have consumed us all. Today was the first opportunity to take her in our trailer, which is a 2013 Dutch Denali. These brackets appear to be very well made and work great when your bumper is flush with the I-beams. Unfortunately they don't work as our bumper as it is welded to bars that attach to the underside of the I-beams which are below where the brackets attach. So now I'm like a set that's outside the return window. Hope this

UNRELIABLE! - Body and Finish

READ BEFORE BUYING! I'm giving durability one star because it either does what it's supposed to do for me or it doesn't. In my case it didn't work. I bought this in October last year because I want to fit a bike rack to my bumper and I followed the instructions in the installation booklet and went on a road trip this weekend with only 2 bikes that didn't even come close. at a rating of £400 according to the manufacturer and the thing opened up and didn't offer the support it was supposed to…

The hardware is not sufficient for my application.

Purchased to strengthen my trailer's bumper after moving the bike rack further back which put more stress on the bumper. The brackets themselves fit perfectly on my RV's 4" square tube bumper. The instructions show how to attach the bumper to different frame types. It also includes fasteners for these different mounts. Unfortunately the fasteners themselves are not long enough to accommodate my bumper to the mounting frame, although this method is shown in the instructions. This required a trip

15 minute install with the right tools

Some of the negative reviews were a result of not reading the version install scripts in the manual. My setup was a 2005 Shasta caravan with a tubular frame welded to the bumper, which the manual says is the standard setup. You clamp the bracket in place and drill three 17/64 pilot holes (the drill bit must be an exact 17/64 or the self-tapping screws won't work. You don't need any equipment to go through the entire pipe, just the first side, and you don't need a nut on a standard install, just

Winnebago camper assembly and why bumpers fail

I have transported 2-4 bikes in the back of a camper trailer for several years and have never had a bumper. I use a receiver mount and an RV-approved bike rack. RV certification means the trunk and bikes are firmly attached and DO NOT MOVE. If you can grab your rack and wiggle it you've got a problem, own weight is one thing but your 100lb bikes get 3-400lbs when they start bouncing. Even something as simple as tying the wheels to the bumper with bungee or ratchet straps goes a long way when a…
