It works as good as OEM

It worked as it should, the fan came on and rose as the temp went up, if it holds up I'll update over time but for now it's a win and not a problem I'm an electrical engineer so I know what's inside is 3 wire wound resistors and a temporary module to send information back to the ECU which I don't understand why they charge over $100 for auto parts for less than $5 . The retail price of the components is about $5. for the heatsink and connectors, 95 percent of the components are made in Asiaโ€ฆ

Good test piece of spares

It's a cheap unit so I don't expect it to last forever but compared to a $250 Ford I wanted to give it a try. I've been a Ford mechanic in the past and have really appreciated their electronics compared to the aftermarket, but it was mainly a test unit which was cheap to make sure I didn't have any ETAC or PCM issues. Checked current and ground on the input side, all ok. The test lamp could not be made to work on the smaller control pin. Connected power and ground to the fan with a quick swipeโ€ฆ

Easy to attach. A screw!

My fan problem was solved, the motor didn't work after replacing it and the battery was bad, replaced in about 10 minutes, just a Phillips head screw. I used a short and stocky driver. This seems to be a common problem as they age on these vehicles. I have a theory. This CAN drain the battery as it is connected directly to DC with or without the ignition on. It is essentially a variable speed solid state relay. So if one of the MOSFETs inside is leaking it can pass a small amount of current and

Works, but not for long.

Ordered and installed in October 2020 and the fan started again. Late June 2021 and it stopped working. I suspect it's this cheap part that is causing the fan not to turn on and causing the car to overheat as the fuse is good and it hasn't had enough miles to damage the fan motor. I'll update my review if I'm wrong. I have ordered 2 more and will always have a spare with me. 250 for a Ford unit that lasts 80,000 miles, or 23 for this one that lasts about 18,000 miles? I don't know which isโ€ฆ

WORKS FOR SATURN SKY REDLINE AND PONTIAC SOLSTICE GXP!

I have a Sky Redline and I got pretty hot downtown. When I noticed that the turbo model had a control module mounted on the fan, I assumed that was the problem. GM doesn't sell the module without the entire fan assembly, which is very expensive. After poking around the internet for hours I found out that someone on the forum had mentioned that it looked exactly like the control module on their crown and they were sure it was the same part. I thought it was worth it given the low cost of thisโ€ฆ
