Extremely slow and unstable Wi-Fi, works right out of the box

For starters I want to REALLY love this laptop. The build quality and display are amazing. An excellent 10th Gen processor and RTX 2080 SUPER are lightning fast. Unfortunately, getting the wifi to work was a real nightmare. I have a $200 Chromebook next to me that is almost twice as fast on my 5GHz network. Most of the time on Razer I get around 60-90Mbps when I should be getting around 170-190Mbps. Often the speed just randomly slows down to about 1Mbps. I've tried reinstalling drivers…

Premium hardware fits traditional laptops

I'm a power user and enjoy great hardware. This laptop delivers. Expensive but worth it. Excellent cooling performance, better than most portable laptops. This system replaced the Alienware 17 R5, which was much heavier, bulkier, warmer, and louder. I was a bit apprehensive about going from a 4K display to a 1080p 300Hz display, but I'm very happy with my choice. I've had some apps that don't scale well at 4K and this display looks amazing. I added an additional Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB drive…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Useless features

This comes closest to a MacBook Pro with excellent build quality. Very strong, inflexible one piece construction and very high quality components. What is clear, however, is that the Razor engineering team consists of nine geniuses and one idiot. In an incredibly stupid and unjustified move, they changed the labels on the keys. For some silly reason, which serves no purpose other than to make your life miserable, they decided to place the symbols BELOW the numbers instead of above them. And all

Case is hot as lava, fans on max

Model 4k 2080: Good: - excellent 4k screen, super bright. Possibly the best laptop screen available right now. - Excellent build quality - Games run very well, even at 4k on medium and high settings. constantly under the impression of the power of this machine. The processor stays at an acceptable temperature, but the laptop body gets so hot that some parts of it can burn you. This is no exaggeration. It heats up so much that my hands get sweaty when using it, making the laptop uncomfortable to

Pros
  • I like everything so far
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Absolutely amazing. Every Razer laptop I've owned has had an issue that was covered under warranty. I assumed the invisible blades weren't their top product, so maybe that was the problem. Now I've spent $4300 on this/her top of the range 2800 Super Max - this 17 inch pro and the screen completely died within the first 30 days! I adjusted the screen angle a bit and the screen went black. I returned it to the working position and the screen was visible. I brought it back to the black screen…

Great for gaming, bad laptop

I'll compare it to the Dell XPS 17 and be brief. so well built. I really wanted to keep it. Pros: It's powerful and you can play most games at high framerates. The RGB keyboard is really cool, almost continuously adjustable backlighting. The sound is quite good and pleasant, 120Hz, 4K touchscreen. The Bad: The keyboard is terrible for typing (you'll see this in many reviews, and it's true). The worst thing is that the line is "moved" to the left with the Shift key (see image). Look at any other

Its worth it. for laptops

I've been going back and forth for the past few months, reading and looking at reviews, checking prices. I have used Surface, Dell, HP, Macbook Pro and even MSI gaming laptops. Knowing that this computer is expensive got me thinking. Well I finally bought it and couldn't be happier. Fit and workmanship are very high quality. It has proven to be quite powerful and I love how easy it is to set up. Pretty much the only downside I could find was the lack of a number pad but even if that is missing…

I wanted to like it. I actually have

I received two laptops and returned two laptops. Unfortunately, quality control at Razer is very poor. Both machines I received had at least one (2+ on the second unit I received) stripped screws. So if you upgrade this laptop, don't worry, find another one. For almost $4,000 I expect to be able to take it apart and install new RAM/SSDs. This is part of the appeal of Razer devices. I didn't have these issues with the Razer Blade 15, so I'm not sure what's going on with Razer these days. They…
