Not for 2007 Tahoe as advertised

Amazon says this fits my car. After struggling to get the trailer ready I was finally able to connect the controller only to find out it's not even for my year car despite being advertised as such. Now I'm well past the return date. Thank you Amazon for taking my money. NO!

one! two! three! it has been installed!

everything took 10 minutes. to install reese towpower. Lightweight plugins. In fact, it took longer to find the right connector to connect to the truck's dashboard than to fully install the brake controller. This wiring harness makes life really easy! The Reese controller is perfect for both our trailer and the Silverado.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • almost everything ok

The item was fine. But a word of warning

Product was fine. But a word of warning. Revain says it matches the Tahoe 07. It doesn't. I had to cut the connector off and connect it to the trailer's factory brake cable under the dash. If you have a new '07 body style or newer Silverado/Sierra/Yukon/Tahoe/Suburban/Avalanche, then your truck comes factory wired under the dash to interface with the brake controller. Just buy a pigtail controller and plug it in directly. There is no need for one of those seat belts. Check it out on Youtube. Iโ€ฆ

Bad/Good News 2001 Chevy Suburban

It didn't work on my 2001 Suburban at first. 2 cables had to be laid. It is very easy to make and requires no soldering. Starting at the end with a blue fixative. 1st row. Left white wire, right red wire. Middle row, nothing left, black wire on the right. Bottom row, nothing left, blue wire on the right. After I routed those cables, everything worked beautifully. The trailer had instructions with pictures. Just pull out the blue retaining clip, use a small screwdriver to remove the wires to beโ€ฆ

Great price for a proportional brake controller.

Fits my 2003 GMC Yukon Denali and works great. I installed mine in a cabinet under the radio where my CD changer used to be. The cable was almost too short for that. I didn't want to hit him with my knee. I followed the set and boost instructions. Really affects stopping. The tiny LED stays on even if the key is removed, but the Denali will cut power after 15 minutes, causing it to shut down. I just mentioned this if your car doesn't have this feature. The handbrake function came in handy a few

Pros
  • Easy to Use
