Works as described. What I actually do is strip the ends of the wire about 1/8 inch and plug them into the connectors, then solder a small silicon bead around the case and then close it up.

I had to re-solder the cables. Was unhappy with how this thing worked. Good idea, but it doesn't hold wires. But they can be soldered. So now it works great.

Sounds like a great idea but trust me it's a useless piece of junk. The plug was professionally installed in less than 3 months and had an internal short that caused a list of nightmarish electrical problems.

This thing is such rubbish. Push Wire Fittings will not cut through the sheathing of the wires you are trying to insert. It's difficult to put everything together without something popping out. Abandoned, cleaned and soldered the wires. One of the LEDs didn't work initially, but I didn't feel like taking it apart to return it.

I originally had a cheap plug that was mostly corroded. Bought as a cheap alternative, didn't have to solder; Just cut and plug the wires and then twist them. Very easy. Gone in about 2 minutes. Works well, the included lid closes tightly. And I love the built in test lights to make sure everything is working. I will buy again if I need
