Not professional. Poor design

Not durable. Not professional. Very cheap. Water and elements can enter in a variety of ways. Not worth the money spent. It does the job. But very bad design.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons

Free connection suitable for outdoor accessories

Jus, dressed today. Bought Reese brand new for truck fork and trailer fork. For some reason they don't fit properly. It's loose and I'm having a problem with my right turn signal/brake light. I thought I bought the best but who knows

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Suitable

Probably a good dog toy.

Second star only because REESE used to be a top product. 1. The three-piece body is shaped as thin as a cheap toy. 2. No attempt to make it waterproof. [Anti-corrosive recommended]. 3. The strain relief is useless by design and only stretches the case body. [I used 25 wraps of tape to hold the case halves together] 4. One of the terminal screws was a cross thread made in China.

Pros
  • Weight

  • Some errors

No better than OEM.

I thought it would be better than the metal GM trucks. It's not like this. work intermittently. I can take a plug and wiggle it to make a flashing light show. It's not about the wires, it's about the contacts of the connector. I tried adding some nonconductive grease with no help. Replaced this setup with a male/female with end contact and no more problems with lights or especially brakes.

Design has weak electrical contact

Replaces the factory plug that was dragged across the street. Installation was easy. but. This Reese Towpower has a less stable electrical connection than the factory plug I replaced. The factory connector I replaced had two copper plates in each slot that gripped the blade and made for a very secure connection. Check out the closeup of Reese Towpower. It only has a plate on the outer edge of the fork, there is no inner plate to hold the blade. So if the plug is not firmly in the socket, I lose

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
