Good boxes but too heavy.

I bought two of these boxes to fit in the trunk of my SUV. The overall quality is good. The drawers are stable and the tray seems to be able to withstand a lot. I complain that these boxes are so heavy! I exhibit dogs, so I often carry crates in and out of cars, as well as to show buildings or hotels. It is very difficult to carry these boxes yourself. They also don't fold very compactly. When folded, they're about 6 inches thick, which is quite a lot compared to other suitcase-style boxes. I'm

Fits perfectly in the back seat of my 4-door sedan (Infiniti Q50). I have a large chow chow puppy who hates riding in a car. I've tried seat belts, which are secure and strong, but don't work as well in the back seat. She paces back and forth, which is not only distracting but also unsafe for her. Takes up the entire back seat which isโ€ฆ

She's a handful and can get out of almost any cage. So I usually attach clips around the perimeter and use a leash attached to the door to make sure it stays inside. She just pushed the old box against the door until it gave in the middle. This box was strong enough to hold her in at shows, coursing and diving at the dock where herโ€ฆ

Excellent off-road/car crate if you need to transport two dogs.

. We recently welcomed a German Shepherd puppy, Amber, into our home as a companion for our two year old GSD Riley. I used to have a large MidWest single box in the back of my 2007 Toyota 4Runner (4th Gen) and Riley, it worked really well. Now with a second dog, I needed to find a solution, and the MidWest Side-By-Side fit perfectlyโ€”that $1,000 side. The distance between the lugs of the wheel arches was about 41.5 inches. Drawer width - 21 inches. So I was afraid that a pair would not fit. Butโ€ฆ
