My problem solved!: Box

I was ready to build an expensive indoor freestanding bag holder because my 100 pound water bag was rocking my entire shed. This spring stopped shaking and vibrating completely. I wrapped a piece of old bike inner tube and tape on each end of the spring for extra help but not sure I need it. My 100 lb bag only stretches the spring a little, which I think is right. I was afraid it would be too hard, but it's not. Worth every penny.

Buy the right size nib for your bag

I originally bought a 220lb nib for my 100lb bag mainly because it was 3 inches shorter than this one. transferred to my floor joists. So I bought a 100 pound quill and it was day and night! The bag bounced around and when I locked the loose chains there was complete silence. Well, not 100% quiet as the spring squeaks every few swings, but it doesn't feel like a house collapsing around me anymore.

Excellent noise cancellation

Hung a heavy bag in our basement for my wife to diversify her cardio workouts. The only problem was that it got hit while our little one was sleeping and the original hanging kit made a huge noise around the house every time you hit it. Arrived this spring, I bought this with a heavy I-Beam bag hanger (I wrapped the inner bracket with cardboard and tape to further muffle the noise) and it's now almost silent, the chains no longer rattling The bottom doesn't seem to be falling apart, all you…

Stable (and quiet!) accessory for heavy bags

The use of tension straps at both ends of this spring makes for a very stable and quiet workout with heavy bags. There is no metal on metal making a crunching or creaking sound, just the sound of a bag being hit. The spring also prevents the bag from rotating freely, so the bag returns to its original position relatively quickly. The attached photos show the spring configuration of a 70 lb Everlast bag on a 7 foot Everlast stand. The top of the heavy sack is 5 feet high (the top seam of the…

Sturdy, less noisy and less wobbly house

I hung the heavy bag up as usual with a spinner and some chains. After reading and seeing how a spring can dissipate shock and be less noisy, I thought I'd buy one. I ordered this spring washer and it seems durable. It's really hard until I hook it up to something. I hung it from the ceiling after building a stronger basement box and then hung a 100lb bag from it. Reduce the noise and bumps, and it doesn't seem to shake as much when I hit it either. The nice thing is that it doesn't spin like…

Not suitable for 100 lb bags

I bought a 100 lb bag of professional fill and this spring it's under-bouncing everywhere. Bought the title nib which is meant for 125 lb sacks and it does the job better. They both stop most of the punch, but the ring-side spring then bounces all over the place, shaking my Valor Stand even more. I can easily bounce the bag up and down by pulling it down with very little finger strength. The spring stretches only slightly with the weight of the bag. The head spring absorbs just as much shock…
