If you buy this you will not use it. Guaranteed.

I've done my best to make it work. I've fixed a lot of razor blades, but this guy, while built to last, just isn't built right. Other reviews are pretty accurate, thought I was the exception. nope It seems to work, but the angle of the blade at the base is wrong. I have time to write it down, but it's a lot of time. The steel is high quality and thick, good luck sharpening at the right angle. nope

Disappointed Good for woodworking project plans and kits

The shave arrived this afternoon. The packaging was minimal and the shaver was in pieces. I started collecting it. The discovered upper screw in the lever cover is missing. Found a suitable replacement in my shop. The iron was worn out as it rattled with everything, but I was able to redo it with no problem. I started installing one of the adjustment bolts and found that the casting was unthreaded, just a smooth hole. I thought about a replacement but this was not stated in the return…

Careless packaging may result in minor damage

This tool arrived recently and we haven't had a chance to clean and adjust it. coarse blade; it was never sanded and would be unusable in this form. This is expected; But I really didn't expect it to be that bad. The packaging was a simple plastic bag with three parts - a handle, a blade and a needle plate - thrown around together in a disassembled bag. It took me about five seconds to assemble them, was it really that difficult for the manufacturer to do this? So it fit in the pocket. However,

Well-made fun plane with a learning curve

This is my first round bottom razor so I can only compare it to the flat bottom wire razors I'm familiar with. On arrival I did the default setting which involves leveling the back of the blade and sharpening with progressive stones to a 6000 grit water stone. I also smoothed the finish of the base and waxed it so it slides smoothly over the wood and rusts Not. It seems to me that it is well made with a fit and finish befitting an instrument in this price range. Overall I am very satisfied with

Round bottom shaves are a challenge

Round bottom shaves like this are a real problem no matter who makes them. I've used some Veritas brands and they will dangle slightly too (it's a lot nicer than this 5x more expensive tool). The real key to any of these is setting it to a very light shave. All the typical things apply (razor sharp blade, flat spine, smooth blade sole and base, good metal contact) but it takes a little time and patience to get this tool working smoothly. Adjust the blade until it stops cutting. Adjust in small…

I don't understand the complaints. good tool at a fair price

If I paid $100 for this razor I would give it only four stars or maybe three and a half stars depending on value for money. But for a quarter, it's a great tool! After reading the negative reviews here and on other sites I came to the conclusion that I need to tweak and maybe even change a lot to make it useful. I might even have to throw it away or send it back. I decided to take a chance because I really didn't want to spend $100 when I could get a useful tool for $25, even if it took a…
