Cool and intricate in my review

I bought this for my father. He likes puzzles and everything wood. He's pretty excited to try out something so unusul. I like that this will keep him busy and think he'll like to show it off. Very intricate and cool looking.

Pros
  • Offers a unique and engaging play experience
Cons
  • May not be durable enough to withstand repeated assembly and disassembly.

Well Designed and Well Made

As an engineer with 40 years' of product design and quality experience, I highly recommend this product. Who can resist gears, cams, and marbles going down multiple tracks? This product is well designed and laser cut to very tight tolerances. Most parts didn't need glue to stick together, although I glued mine for robustness. What a great product!

Pros
  • Enhances problem-solving skills
Cons
  • May not encourage critical thinking or problem-solving skills.

Fun assembly and great one my teacher desk!

So fun for a family or individual. Water coloring the sheets first (don’t over-saturate) made it pop! Not as versatile as other building toys..

Pros
  • 2.01 pounds
Cons
  • Not as versatile as other building toys.

Great Christmas gift

I bought this for my son for a Christmas gift! He and I love to sit around the tree and put these types of contraptions together!

Pros
  • Builds confidence and self-esteem
Cons
  • Not a good choice for children who prefer open-ended play.

Works as described by RO

This was a fun kit to assemble and although a few of the instructions were a bit vague it went together well. I liked that the majority of the parts had identification letters/numbers lased into them. I have assembled similar kits from other manufacturers that did not do this and IDing the parts was more difficult. A small detail but a help. The optional video instructions from ROKR I found almost useless.Despite that issue, after being assembled the machine worked like a champ. Smooth…

Pros
  • With Laser Cutting Technology, the pieces are easy to remove from the sheet of plywood, the laser cutting is precise and clean (no residue smoke burns). The pieces go together smoothly and with step-by-step visual instructions.
Cons
  • Not easy to clean.

Fun Build. in my review

I had a lot of fun building this, but I'm the type of person that likes the attention to detail that is required for it. Amazingly 99% of the parts hold themselves together and do not require glue. The instructions had a lot of detail that made them easier to follow.Build Notes:1. take your time and sand the parts carefully, the smoother the better on the moving parts2. rubbing wax on the gears and sliding parts makes a world of difference when turning the handle3. for the rotating discs that…

Pros
  • Easy to out together with some time and patience good father son activity during quarantine.
Cons
  • Time-consuming to assemble.

Husband appoved for my opinion

My husband loved thisnut said he had to file the screw driver down because the metal was too high and wouldn't fit the pieces. After we fixed that it was perfect. He had a great time building and works great

Pros
  • Great!
Cons
  • Some pieces may not fit properly.

Amazing engineering and quality wood parts

All parts well labeled. Just a little sanding, using wax where needed and parts went together well. Ended up having to repair one part that broke and CA glued some other parts to provide more stability when done. Built with my 12 yr old son. In our case, he could figure out the picture instructions better and I provided the finger strength to push some parts together. (I'm 75 yr old) Was a lot of fun!

Pros
  • Fun to build. Good instructions. Painted it just for fun (watercolor so the pieces wouldn't bind)
Cons
  • Instructions may be confusing for some children.

The laser cuts are nice and accurate. I have a good mechanical beakground, I found the kit difficult to assemble. After it’s together it takes some tweaking to get it working smoothly. The instructions are somewhat vague. Overall I enjoyed putting it together. You do need patience and some mechanical knowledge.

Pros
  • Provides hours of endless fun and excitement
Cons
  • Not a good choice for children who prefer outdoor play

Great for engineering type of minds

Very fun and interesting toy. Not for kids but my son enjoyed helping me put it together. My 3 year old dropped and broke it but it's pretty easy to glue back together.

Pros
  • Allows for hands-on learning
Cons
  • May not provide a sense of accomplishment or pride after assembly.

Gift for son good for me

10 year old son put this together. It is complicated to build but can be done by kids with a little adult help and by paying close attention to instructions.

Pros
  • Builds patience and persistence
Cons
  • May not feel like a fun or rewarding experience for some children.

A well made puzzle, great kinetic sculputre.

This is a well made puzzle. The laser cuts were clean and complete. The layout of the parts and assembly instructions were well thought out to avoid breakage of the pieces both during pop-out and assembly. The wood varied in thickness depending on the strength requirements of the part, which again reflected the thought put into the puzzle. And the smallest parts, which had increase risk of breakage, had several spares to mitigate just that sort of problem. This was a great activity to do with…

Pros
  • Made you think a little. It's a great way to kill time.
Cons
  • Not sturdy enough to withstand rough handling.

Pros
  • Encourages independent play and exploration
Cons
  • Not a good choice for children who prefer imaginative play.

Marble run - my new review

My daughter in law and son put this together and they enjoyed it very much. And my 3 year old grandson loves running it. Debra Henrie

Pros
  • Not lineup properly so the mechanic does not work well, but the idea is good.
Cons
  • Not suitable for children under 6 years old.

Worth the Time for my opinion

I bought this as a gift for my dad. I love to spend time assembling models with him. The instructions were easy to follow and the product works great. We’ve done several wooden models like this over the years and they are time consuming but worth every minute. It’s been a year since we put it together and it still works great!

Pros
  • Stimulates logical thinking
Cons
  • Not a good choice for birthday or holiday gifts.

Great for a computer desk

My brother and I built this in about 6 hours. After a few tweaks it runs great. I find a ball will get stuck in about two spots every onelce and a whole. All the pieces are very smooth. Love having it on my computer desk

Pros
  • Promotes teamwork and collaboration
Cons
  • Instruction booklet may not be suitable for all children's reading levels.

Great project for sheltering at home.

Great self isolation project. Not too hard to put together. Definitely easier the second time. I liked it so much, I ordered the other 3 marble kits for the coming weeks.

Pros
  • Good puzzle !
Cons
  • Not resistant to wear and tear.

Great Fun (very hard to build).

This is the first time I've attempted to build a project like this and it took me about 8 hours to complete. Some of that time was met with frustration due to some errors in the instructions (another reviewer already mentioned the page 9 error). Some of that frustration was also due to my own mistakes (yeah you need to read the instructions carefully). The biggest issues I had was building the elevator/lift system. Those lifts have to be sanded and smoothed down really well for the system to…

Pros
  • This was a lot of fun to put together. It would make a great gift for a diy.
Cons
  • Small parts, easy to lose.

Be Patient best in my review

This was my 6th wooden model assembly and was more difficult then I thought it would be. Broke several parts and I hadn't done that before. Directions were a little more difficult to follow then some other projects. Other than that, I enjoyed the project and really like Robotime models.

Pros
  • Provides a sense of accomplishment
Cons
  • May not be engaging enough to hold a child's interest.
