Nice clean cuts every time

I love this cheese slicer! At first I thought I would have to hire the nut upstairs but that just messed it up. One day I realized that this wasn't an adjustment at all but a way of holding the learned wire and it worked perfectly every time.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Not the best

No replacement wires available

The cheese slicer itself is very good. I have 2 and they work very well. until the wire breaks, which is normal with wire cutters. Replacement wires have been gone for more than a year. The only ones you can find cost almost as much as a brand new wire cutter. It's frankly awful. Buy reliable cables on the market for a few bucks and the rating will go up to 5 stars.

Pros
  • New in my collection
Cons
  • too blunt

The vegetable cutter is good, not great

It would be very nice if the reviews were divided according to the subject of the review. Most of the negative reviews about the cheese slicer. I have a vegetable mandolin. It works great and is easy to use, but there was one disappointment. the whole mandolin bent a bit after 15 minutes of use and i was surprised. I thought it would be stronger for the price. That said, unless it actually breaks, I expect a lot from it.

Pros
  • Sequins
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

I just LOVE this mandolin cut!

you have to have it. I've tried PLASTIK with detachable blades etc. Too dangerous and cumbersome compared to this incredible piece of engineering! All it does is slice and you have four settings. When folded, the surface can be made completely flat, so you can't cut yourself! It's so cool! Of course it costs twice as much, but it's worth it. It's all stainless steel and won't stain, which happens almost instantly with plastic mandoline slicers. If you want to prepare Julian fries, they have a…

Loose Screws on Rösle

Rösle Replacement Cutting Blade 95978 is advertised as having two tiny screws securing the blade. My first order only included one screw. The replacement was worse - no screws at all. Mr. Rösle, you need to do further training in the packaging department and become familiar with zip-lock bags. Finding food grade stainless steel metric screws is not easy. McMaster-Carr is a start, but how do I measure the thread pitch on such a small screw. I think my truffle knife is doomed to sit in a drawer…
