This is the third or fourth I've bought. Nothing better. Simply slide towels out from under the holder and the roll will snap into the spring loaded tabs and be held in place. When empty, push the reel up to release it. Just don't install the holder upside down like some reviewers did, as the paper towels will fall out. plastic but durable.
