Good product. Only 1 recoverable error

Overall a great product if you are going to remove your Jeep's doors with only one error. A whistling sound you hear while driving. However, I found a simple solution. Transparent silicone. Where the rubber meets metal on the back of the mirror, I filled that space with a thin layer of clear silicone and the whistle was gone!

Pros
  • Test for one year
Cons
  • weak

little wind noise and no bulky driver's side, but very strong and nice

they are very cool. They went through easily and look good. I wish the handles were a little shorter and the passenger side mirror was convex like a regular mirror, but they work great and look great. I can hear a little wind noise from the inside leading edge, and I bet it can be fixed with a little strip of felt or something. I have to try that one day. I love these mirrors and they won't move once you put them on. They felt a little flimsy when installed and then I tightened everything and…

  • comfortable
Cons
  • not as thick as other picks

Difficult to set up and won't stay in place

. It seems the angle isn't the same without bending the end of the arm it would just show me the way. Once I bent the end of my arm the angle was right, but now I'm having trouble keeping it in place. The larger washer fits over the quick connector but needs to be slightly larger to fit more evenly against it. The teeth need to be more pronounced because they don't hold in place very well. I've seen some reviews that had no issues and many like mine had issues, so I suspect quality control…

Pros
  • . Easy to set up
Cons
  • . Security

Unbeatable: Body and trim

I thought long and hard about which mirrors I should order. In the end I settled on round textured mirrors and couldn't be happier. The texture is very similar to my aftermarket bumpers and light bar mount. I was concerned that the factory screws holding the lightbar mount and mirror base would be too short. I was able to use factory bolts, although I wish they were a little longer. I've used a couple of channel locks to get an extra half turn at the base of the mirror and they hold position…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • I won't say anything

but in typical Rugged Ridge style they just aren't as strong as I would like

Overall these mirrors aren't bad but in typical Rugged Ridge style they aren't as strong , as I would like. I keep buying their stuff because it ends up costing me less than I need/want. Jeep parts are outrageously expensive, so it's a good deal, but you get what you relatively pay for. Pros: - Easy installation, although I can't figure out what the concave washer is for. When I put it on the bracket, I can't clamp it. When I'm not using it, only the bottom of the mount is in contact…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • No performance

Yes, it fits my 2013 Jeep Wrangler

. I still need side mirrors by law. This set of Rugged Ridge Mirrors installs in minutes and the mirror and mounting bar can be easily 'quick removed' and stowed in the garage when the doors are closed again. When I open the doors with the brackets installed, the doors swing far enough away from the car's A-pillar to avoid contact between the original mirrors and the new bracket. car, so you don't damage the paintwork during installation. If I would recommend removing only one screw at a time…

Pros
  • . High marks for grip and durability from testers.
Cons
  • . Expensive

Harmful but necessary to comply with the law

Whistle and fold. Silicone didn't eliminate the whistle. The "Just mind it, it's a Jeep" crowd won't care because it's not that loud. Another disadvantage of silicone grout is that you can't stack them without breaking the seal. Some might not care, but it's a lot easier to garage the Jeep in the rain than to cover it with a tarpaulin. These mirrors protrude farther than normal mirrors and must be folded, so a silicone joint would be very tedious and expensive. I believe no tightening torque…

Pros
  • Many positive emotions

Surprisingly they don't drive on the Autobahn

I give 4 stars because I like them. They're not perfect, but I like them. I bought an all black rectangular kit for my 98 TJ. I took the advice of another poster that said the back of the mirror will be siliconised and mine won't whistle, although I did that before putting them on so I don't know if they will anyway. I just didn't want to do this job twice. Putting mirrors, they seem very cheap. Housings are made of plastic, washers are made of plastic. but once they're on, they're pretty…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires an outlet
