They're pricey, but for people like me who want a quiet and fast grinding wheel, this is a good choice. For smaller panels like doors and fenders, this is quick and a little quieter than other paint and putty removal options. I'm in an urban area so noise level is a big issue so I don't mind spending a little more for a quality blade.

I removed mill scale for the price of a 1/2 inch insert. Discs work best when you apply light pressure and take your time. If you push really hard they will break faster and the amount of mill scale you remove from the wheel will be greatly reduced. Working on the edges of the mill scale also works better than starting at the top of the solid mill scale.

I use a lot of velcro surface treatment pads from the same manufacturer and bought them based on a comment on youtube. about their work/life. I'm very impressed with this disc. It seemed to last maybe three times longer than the air conditioner discs I usually buy. Used on hot rolled steel to remove residual scale after pickling with vinegar. Limescale can be quite difficult to remove, but I'm happy with the process as long as the pieces fit in my vinegar bucket :)

These are the best and fastest rust remover discs I have ever used.
