3M usually makes great tape, but lately their masking tape has been of terribly poor quality. Removing it was an absolutely pathetic job because it fell to shreds. .I had a nightmare picking up and cleaning my hands to get rid of everything. I was neither amused nor impressed. I found the Duck brand to be much better and much cheaper.

This is masking tape. If you've used this type of masking tape before, you know it's great, but it can easily lose grip depending on the surface. Scotch tape is actually great for almost everything, but it's good for more as there's no such thing as permanent or one-time sticking in my opinion. I wouldn't recommend using the same piece twice as the glue will sink a bit depending on where you removed it.
