So far I have been very disappointed with this product.

I have been very disappointed with this product so far. For this price I expected a very high quality work. Result so far: not even close. Issues: 1. Headset speakers won't stay in my helmet, velcro won't hold. 2. GPS is too loud (to the point that the sound from the speakers is distorted) and the phone is too quiet, it's completely inaudible while driving. I didn't use my earplugs and the phone was still inaudible. 3. I can't use my normal Google voice commands on my phone while driving. 4โ€ฆ

  • Great for a small home
Cons

Likely to cause hearing loss

Pros: 1) Easy to install 2) Easy to pair with other Sena devices, phone and GPS 3) Communication between two riders works quite well 4) Control is simple enough with gloves to use 5) Call quality on the other end is pretty good even at highway speeds 6) Fast on/off switching 7) No external moveable antenna to break or water ingress 8) Fast charging and battery life day (connection works). Cons: 1) The volume between devices is not balanced as described in the instructions, although an attemptโ€ฆ

Disappointing - accessories

We have a group riding EVO 20s and 10s. A few of us have considered buying the 30k, but the battery performance makes it unappealing for day trips. I have a few frustrations with Sen: 1. The timing is pretty random. Even when we set up 20s EVO for a group of more than 4 people, we can rarely keep a 4-person session active. While driving the resync is almost random from 4 paired units sometimes 2 syncs sometimes 3 syncs sometimes no syncs. We tried pairing with master and/or in chain. Nothingโ€ฆ

Does what it should and does it well

Basically I'm impressed. Everything seems to work as advertised except maybe the intercom distance. But even that is enough for normal driving and chatting with a friend. Another special feature is line of sight only. Buddy can be 50 yards ahead, going up a hill or turning, and I'll lose him by the time he's visible again. Very predictable so no problem. Use it with an Android phone. I can get the phone's attention (similar to how I would say 'OK GOOGLE') and say 'go home' and Google's voiceโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Perfect for Shoei RF1200

I put these devices in two Shoei RF1200. One belongs to me, the other to my wife. We've had the helmets for about three years now and both helmets were previously equipped with the Cardo Q9. Installation was very easy. Six latches to remove the pads. Two hex screws to remove Q9. A microphone without a boom on a Sena device. Two hex head screws (same hex wrench as Q9) to mount the Sena. Uses the same Velcro used to install Q9. A credit card was used to slide the wires through the folds of theโ€ฆ

Decent, but could be better.

So, foreword - this is my first BT communication headset. After using headphones for a few years and briefly experimenting with a cheaper, unbranded system, I decided it was finally time to make the leap in favor of the famous Sena 20S. Choosing the EVO model purely because the built-in antennas mean fewer parts to break. The main reason for buying this device was to improve media controls in gloves for simple functions like changing tracks, pausing music, etc., but more on that laterโ€ฆ
