Excellent lens. It's heavy and big, but the picture quality is fantastic. I get very accurate autofocus out of the box and of course you can easily set it up if you have a Sigma dock. I'm a fan of the new Sigma lenses. I now have 3 of these and they are all excellent lenses. I almost never give 5 stars because even the best things need improvement.
I love this lens. I have a good friend who has a Nikon D750 and this lens. He has told me about him how good he is and I have seen many examples of his photos taken with him which are very clear and sharp. He highly recommended it to me when I bought my new D750. This is my favorite lens, my "running" lens. It has a fast focus and is quiet. I'm glad I listened to my friend!
Definitely my favorite lens. Very versatile and sharp. My only concern is that this lens isn't weatherproof, which is a significant limitation for a true general-purpose lens. In all other respects it outperforms both version 1 and 2 of the Canon 24-105mm, including T-stop values (let more light through). IS is as good as advertised. I only give it 4 stars because of the weather protection.
hands, I can't hold it. It does the trick for me when I use it to control zoom or vice versa, which is what I'm used to, but I still get fantastic shots from it. I have many lenses for my Sony cameras. Can't afford it but all new lenses and worth the money I spent on them
I use it on my A7R III and I really like this lens. I wish it was a little lighter and smaller, but the lower price compared to the Sony justifies the compromise. This lens works flawlessly and produces excellent images. When paired with an MC-11 adapter, I often forget it's adapted. Update 03/22/2018: I updated the MC-11 firmware to the latest version and now the lens hunts in continuous autofocus mode when using flexible spot. Just a note. Will likely be fixed with another update but thought…
I'm a wedding photographer working for Nikon. I bought this because I needed a replacement for my sturdy Nikkor 24-70mm 2.8 while it was being refurbished (shot HART for 6 years) and I could always use the extra wide (wife shares my gear). So here's what I found: Excellent focus, even in the dark. The Nikkor 24-70 gave me blurring issues from time to time, but NOT the Sigma. The Sigma is sharper than the Nikkor 24-70 at every aperture and has slightly more contrast and slightly more vivid…
