I was surprised at how easy and how well this mount works. First, I inserted the plastic flange that comes with the bracket through the hole in the metal bracket from the top of the bracket (not the bottom). I then stuck the long end of the pivot (mine is all plastic) through the plastic flange. The fit is very tight so there is very little chance of the pivot pin falling out. No need for wood spatula. Simply tighten with the supplied screw.

Did you buy cheap folding doors in an orange or blue store? If you have done this, it will either be necessary to repair the door or when it is first installed to prevent future repairs. Cheap double seams are made from composite panels and the pins will wear down the holes they are inserted into over time. This mount solves that problem and you won't even think to try wood putty or other repair supplies. Buy cheap doors, spend a few bucks more and you have a door that will perform flawlessly…

Years of child abuse clogged the friction hinge pins and casters in our folding doors until they were no longer stable in the factory-drilled mounting holes. With quick spray paint application to match the doors, these brackets provide a secure attachment for spare pins/rollers. Grommets (included) ensure a snug fit. In my case, I only installed mounts in places where the original mounting holes were compromised, although you can install them ahead of time. Good repair product.

I bought this item to help me convert two folding doors into French doors. These little brackets mount to the top or bottom of the door where the door is hinged and help hold the cheap cardboard in the folding door strong so the door stays on the hinge. If you are remodeling double doors or just reinforcing them to make them more durable, do yourself a favor and buy 2 sets and do the top and bottom of both doors at the same time.
