After 3 days it works fine. I started with a wired ethernet connection and it worked in the advertised 15 minutes. Calls were clear and both incoming and outgoing worked smoothly - connected to an antiquated AT&T pushbutton phone that I kept for land line testing. I then configured to use WiFi and unplugged the ethernet cable. Still works fine. If this goes on for a week, I will cancel my landline connection. Little did he know there was an app that would make setup easier. Bought this about a week ago to ditch my $60 a month Verizon landline! The beauty is that with an annual subscription to the Premier service, you can initiate a free transfer of your old phone number to Ooma. Premier has some nice extras and $9.99 a month, which is less than what Verizon charged me for caller ID! The number porting of my old number was completed in just 5 days. Ooma clearly has a long way to go in smoothing out the documentation and setup process.
