First of all, I'm by no means a knife sharpener. I'm a beginner etc. I've tried stones to sharpen my knife and I've been successful with it, but I've never been able to sharpen it. Maybe the stones weren't thin enough, maybe it was my skill. Keep the blade with them, not sure. I'm sure my knives have never been sharper since I've had them. My "never sharper" might not be yours lol. I wouldn't say it's razor sharp, but it's a lot sharper than what I could do with a stone. Anyway I think they are

I have used these honing rods many times over the past six months to align the blade on chisels/chisels of all types (including very small veneers and noodle blades - almost impossible to sharpen without this set), several adzes, curved knives and pocket knives. I bought this sharpening stone to deburr the inside of my V-grooves and it does a good job. Then I decided to try it on my knives, the edges of which were rounded after long machining. WOW what a shock. This stone quickly took on a round shape, leaving a finely polished edge. After 5 hits on each side of the green link, my knives are remarkably sharp.
