Well designed and easy to use! Worked like a champ on my 84 year old hardwood floors. It's important to understand that there are a number of reasons why hardwood floors can creak. Seems obvious but based on some of the negative reviews I've read I think some people were misinformed. But these special screws fix or reduce squeaks resulting from loose nails in joists or sloppiness in high traffic areas that require tightening on joists. Between the delays, various fixes all creak together.

This one works best with linoleum but my advice would be to watch a video on U-Tube first explaining how to use it and then I'm afraid call an expert to get the job done. I bought a box of shorter screws that weren't specifically labeled for joists. I kept hammering them in and never saw any improvement in the squeak, just a few holes. On the advice of a friend, I bought this set and got significantly better results. It's not clear why, but I suspect the extra length was necessary for my floor configuration, and the shorter ones just didn't catch the beam.
