Sturdy chair stand: for garage storage

It's all one piece - no assembly required. Screws and washers were included so no trip to the hardware store was necessary. I installed it in about 15 minutes, including finding studs in the wall and drilling pilot holes for the screws. It is extremely durable with no flex in the armrests that hold chairs. Really good product!

Sturdy, creates lots of space

I have folding chairs in the garage for poker night. I had to buy some more chairs but didn't like that they just leaned against the wall. This freed up floor space and leveled the garage. Warning: just make sure you know the distance between the studs. The cleats in my garage are wider than in the house, but there is one spot where the 2x4 goes horizontally, I was able to secure it.

Very important! good for home storage and organization

Really great for folding chairs but not for folding patio chairs. I wish they could space the bars that hold the chairs further apart to accommodate wider folding patio chairs! But it is ideal for ordinary folding chairs. Very significant. The mounting holes are spaced 16 inches apart and I think once installed you can tighten the bars. I'm 74 so I don't do this anymore. I should only dream of when I could!

Fixed option

There is no doubt that this unit is built to last and will be VERY heavy. What I found limiting is that the 30" mounting plate only has one set of holes drilled 16" apart. Of course, this is the usual spacing for construction, but it's also 24 inches. In some situations, something else may be required. The metal on it requires special bits and a drill to push it through. I am not an engineer and cannot speak to the stress and performance implications of transom mounting. There were multiple…
