Good value for money. best watercolor paper

This watercolor paper is good for beginners. Some cleaning and wetting is required while sticking to the panel. Good for trying out new ideas, methods etc. Good value for the price.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Not for everyone

Mmmm delicious texture is the best in art paper

Has a small tooth. Much better than Canson XL watercolor paper. Wow, does it wrinkle after many washes? Of course I've been painting almost every day for the past 3 years so if you want to get this as a gift or for someone just starting out with wet materials I say GET IT get it a million times bigger than the Kanone XL. Canson is not bad but much better

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Has problems

Pretty thick paper!

Hey! I just ordered this paper and I love it! This makes the watercolor vibrant and amazing. I'm new to watercolor and was able to make this little piece. I am very satisfied with this paper, it is worth it. (I cut the paper into small pieces so I can get more small pieces that are easy to make small pictures out of). If you are new to watercolor painting, you should buy this paper. Whether it's good or bad for professionals, I can't say.

Pros
  • is clear, even the old
Cons
  • are fading

A fun way to keep a journal

I keep an illustrated journal daily and have been using these watercolor journals for a number of years now. I add watercolors to my pencil sketches of what I've done. It's so much fun to go back in time and read your personal journals. I will leave this to my sons. The high quality of the paper ensures that it will last for generations. I'm 72 years old and would like to start a few years early when my sons grow up.

Pros
  • glitter
Cons
  • neutral

Excellent quality, reasonable price,

The thickness is wonderful as expected, the colors are vibrant even with our watercolor palette compared to higher quality paints. This is by far the best for intermediate level artists but still perfect for all guys like me. I use this with my daughter at our art school at home. Tip: We go through a lot of paper, so I always cut it into 4 sheets to reduce waste. It is also inexpensive as this paper is used up fairly quickly.

Pros
  • watercolor paper
Cons
  • disappear

Watercolor paper

This notebook is quality paper for the beginner or advanced watercolor painter. It has a convenient size that is easy to carry. I would give 5 stars if the paper had micro-perforations near the spiral to allow the pages to be taken out of the notebook without leaving a border, which requires cutting those pieces out of the sheet. I have used this pad twice and am very happy with the finish and the results achieved. Perhaps it would be possible to provide a 20 sheet notebook.

Pros
  • Drawing, painting and craft supplies
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Nothing for professionals.

I have been a professional watercolor painter and teacher for over 25 years. This paper, like all papers in the Strathmore line, is designed for beginners and advanced artists. If you're going to be a pro or planning a serious hobby or profession, you won't be using this paper. It's cheap, disposable, easy to get. The painting ground is not for serious artists. If you're serious, you need to switch to a French brand called Arches. Then there is no turning back. This is the gold standard for all

Pros
  • Crafts and Sewing
Cons
  • Trivia
