Purchased to connect LED kits; works great, easy to use and install. I just wish they were in smaller packages because I only needed one lol.

These welders are amazing - I had my doubts but I used one to fix a bad spot with 3 LEDs and it worked the first time - great. I have a few spares now and if more break, I just cut them out - how good are they?

I couldn't open them to insert wires/LED strips even with tools or something to open them. I had to give up and buy something else. I'm not an electrician, but I've been busy with YouTube, I couldn't open these suction cups. Another brand I bought here worked better. Sure, a few bucks more, but I didn't swear at the little plastic thing for an hour. And that in itself is priceless.

This is normal. Maybe it would be better with a fixed project. I used them to make a Halloween stick figure costume. When moving it jammed the spot on the LED strip where it was supposed to be plugged in, rendering it unusable. I'm sure they would have worked great otherwise. While there are other types where the strip is inserted under metal clamps that do not clamp the strip. I think they are doing their job. But because they didn't work and because they didn't fit me, I'm giving fewer stars.

These things are NOT easy to use. After spending some very frustrating hours trying to get it to work without success, I FINALLY found a method that works. I'm sharing it here so you can avoid the same troubles. Step 1. Ignore how they tell you to set them up. Step 2. Carefully peel the top plastic layer of the light strips themselves from the 4 metal tabs at the bottom where the light says they can be cut (see pictures). Step 3. After ordering these once and the package being completely lost and untraceable as a result, we were upset and ordered a second set after receiving a refund. While I can say that we successfully installed the light, I can also say that it was worth the blood, sweat and tears. And a roll of duct tape. These little mo*fos do NOT tell you to pierce the LED strip, nor do they tell you that the copper side - if there is only one side with copper - is necessary. We learned this the long and hard way…
