I had to extend the wiring from my Tekonska brake controller

. I will never use again. Also, the wire cover that comes with this wire harness is better than nothing that comes with the brake controller out of the box. This wiring harness doubles the length of wiring that comes with the controller.

Pros
  • . Perfect for outdoor activities.
Cons
  • . Ugly packaging.

Installation was a simple task

When I found a place to wire this on my 2003 Yukon XL (fuse box to left of brake pedal) it was literally plug and play. It was on sale for $12 so I think it was worth it. Don't get me wrong, crimping isn't necessarily a difficult task, but you do need to make sure you're crimping the right wires the right way. Even at the regular price of $20, I would buy for a worry-free install.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Minor issues

If you place the controller anywhere other than directly above the .

Works as advertised, hooked up directly to my 2004 Duramax 3500. Three stars because the cord is very short. If you want to mount the controller somewhere other than directly above your calf, look elsewhere or be prepared to cut/extend the wires here. But that defeats the purpose, doesn't it? I would say the cables are about 12 inches from plug to plug. Should be around 36 inches to allow for reasonable mounting options.

2006 GMC Yukon Denali - Fits Perfectly!

Purchased for 2006 GMC Yukon Denali XL. Perfect plug and play fit. On the Yukon it connects directly to the trailer brake connector in the junction box under the dash just behind and above the electronic brake. The cable is long enough to place a trailer brake adjuster almost anywhere under the dash or above the pedals. The Yukon has pre-drilled mounting holes on the bottom edge of the dash, eliminating the need to drill ugly holes anywhere in the interior trim.

Made wiring in the brake controller really easy.

2005 GMC Yukon. I bought a new Reese brake controller for a 2014 Ram 1500 that I never installed. Was going to install it in my Yukon and this adapter supposedly fits. On one end is a brown connector that goes into the under dash fuse box. The other end is a flat black connector found in newer controllers. I cut it and connect it to the appropriate wires coming out of the controller. The quality of the adapter is really very good. The wires are slightly heavier than the brake controller with a…

Makes installation easy.

I recently traded in my old Dodge for a 2003 Silverado 2500HD and kept my Tekonsha Primus brake controls to fit a new truck. I bought this wiring harness and it was easy to install. Just plug it into the brake controller and the other end into the factory outlet on the truck under the dash. If you are towing an RV or other trailer with a battery and want it to charge when it is plugged into the truck, you will need to go into the underhood fuse box, remove the fuse plug from the "bolt number 1”

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Quick and painless installation!

Super time saver and foolproof (compared to the 4 wire DIY connector that comes with the brake controller). Perfect fit for our 2003 Silverado. Under the dash (above the emergency brake), slide the black plastic cover that hides several connectors. There is one to get the big end of this connector. Connect the small end to the back of the controller and you're done. The adapter was long enough to mount our controller to the right of the steering column, within reach of the driver's right hand…

  • Great design

Don't Pay a Mechanic If You Own a 2001 or Newer Chevy/GM Truck or SUV! BUY

, I was willing to pay Uhaul $300 to purchase and fit a brake controller because the thought of tracing and securing the correct wires etc under the dash was an absolute dismay to me at the moment. I really didn't want to spend that much money so I did a little more homework and found a YouTube video of them installing this Tekonsha controller pigtail in my exact same 2004 Chevy Tahoe. Google "erailer Tekonsha Brake Controller install 2004 tahoe" to find videos and similar for other GM products

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
