Works I like the trailer settings but it kills my batteries because it never turns off. I guess I have to do something there

Got under the dash, unplugged the old wire, plugged in the new one, installed the latch in place of the old one, plugged in the P3, the unit worked properly, set it to B- 8.5 ( Towing a 28ft Fox Mountain RV with a one ton F-350 Looking forward to a 6000 mile trip to Georgia and back this winter Recommended P3.

The product description was unclear if the included wiring harness connects directly to the F350 wiring harness; it does. But Ford made it difficult (2 hours) to remove enough of the dash to disconnect the existing pigtail/harness and connect the new one to the factory wire. Not Tekonsha's fault, but the hardest part of the install. Towing a heavy 2 axle trailer and it was a GOOD upgrade. Has worked perfectly.

I needed a good trailer brake control for my 2007 F150 with hitch. The truck already had a connector under the dash and the plug and play wiring harness made installation very easy. It simply connects to the factory connector and then to the brake controller. The controller comes with a quick release plastic bracket and a durable metal bracket. Easy installation with the Ford seat belts included. I love the look and ease of use of this brake controller. There was indeed a debate between P3 and P2 and overall I honestly don't know if that would have played a role in my choice. The P3 has different color screens and you can also save vehicle profiles so you don't have to manually set everything up when you switch brake controls to a different vehicle.
