Also great for skimming the scum from cooking a pot of bone broth, beans or granola! I really like this skimmer, it allows me to prepare a perfectly clean broth and removes debris that can build up in beans and grains. Highly recommended!

Good. So yes, it's just a slotted hot pot spoon, but I have to say it does what it says on the tin: remove fat from soups and broths. Too bad I didn't find this sooner as I've gone through all sorts of tricks and twists to get the fat out of bone broths that I've been making for years without much success. It's easy to use, uncluttered, has no complexity, is lightweight, easy to clean, and does what it's designed to do. Very happy with this product and highly recommend.

Actually bought to sift small floating residue out of soups and stews. Didn't know how good the screen would be. On first use it seemed to clog and not bother. A closer look showed me why. It was filled with fat! Now I have one of the easiest and best fat skimmers ever! Will be used again and again as a handy kitchen tool I never knew existed. This is not the best gadget design in my kitchen. That's why I only gave 4 stars. But for this price I am very satisfied. But I would give it 5 stars for

Perfect for skimming cold fat from soups or anything that requires fat skimming. It also does a great job when you need to take something out of the pan (bay leaves, pieces of chicken, etc.). I use mine quite a bit and I really like how durable and well made it is. I've used it regularly to get the chicken out of the broth. Often these are large pieces, and they don't bend or bend in any way. I used it to fetch fruit from pitchers, tea bags from pitchers. the use is almost limitless.

At first I replied that it was light and fragile. But after use, the light weight makes it very easy to skim broth or soup. I keep it separate from my very heavy CC cookware. I keep my paraphernalia in countertop pots, one for SS paraphernalia and one for plastic/bamboo/wooden paraphernalia. So that the skimmer is not damaged by heavy utensils. I keep the skimmer, albeit SS, with lighter harness. I would buy again. .

I was so excited when I came across this Letrue Hot Pot Skimmer I couldn't wait for it to arrive to try it I was lucky that he arrived the same day i was cooking meat soup and came in handy to remove the fat, the foam that forms on the surface of the water, it worked much better than the soup spoon i usually use and the bowl to scoop it out and easy one to make a mess on my sink and have to wash everything. I bought this to try making ghee from butter. Nobody seems to have used it for that purpose anymore, so it was kind of an experiment. I need to get butter whey and milk proteins before eating them as I get a bad reaction from them. When I heated melted butter in a double boiler, this slotted spoon made it easy to skim off the frothy whey that had risen to the top.
