30 AWG, Average wire diameter: 0.01 in. (0.254 mm), 6.5 Ohms/ft at 68°F. ALLOY: Nichrome 80 (80% Ni, 19.5% Cr, 1.45% Si). Rated for temperatures up to 1180°C (2150°F). 100% MADE IN THE U.S.A. All TEMCo wire is produced and spooled right here in the U.S.A. PERFECTLY TENSIONED. Zero elongation, scratches or other flaws ensure quality wire on every spool. ZERO CONTAMINANTS. Clean production environment houses the spooling process. Hands-off computerized spooling eliminates skin salts and oils.

Low-Quality, Unsafe Nichrome Wire

This product is unsafe for industrial and scientific use. Using this wire, our team found that it isnt reliable and breaks easily, leading to potential safety hazards. The insulation is also flimsy and can easily tear, revealing the bare wire inside..

Electrical Tensile Strength

Is there a chart showing the breaking stress for each diameter assuming the installed ends are damaged? That would help me when choosing a tension spring.
