Not bad for the money

Not bad for the money. I make a living welding and repairing aluminum fuel tanks and it holds up pretty well, it puts a strain on the tip if you use it really hard but overall a really good ridge.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Clarity

Okay I think in cutting tools

I'll give it a 3 because it grinds and cuts efficiently but tends to bounce and walk around the hole I used to open. I've used other bits in the past without this problem, thinking cross bits might be better for the job.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Good thing: Burr cutting

Not bad, a few small chips fell off right away, but I probably didn't use it as recommended. I used it to drill a hole in a new brake disc rotor, I had to enlarge it a bit. It's probably for input from the top, I used it from the side of the thread.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • No machine

Good price, eats up aluminum heads/manifolds entirely

Bought this to move/remove things on aluminum heads/intake manifolds for cars/bikes. It punches through aluminum with no fuss, but be prepared to clean up your workbench afterwards because it will scatter shavings everywhere, haha.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Legacy model

Does exactly what it says.

This thing does exactly what it says on the tin. I use it to clean cast aluminum. I've used it over and over again and it works like new. The grooves are very "open" so they don't clog at all. It now feels as sharp as when you bought it. I use it to clean cast aluminum. The only caveat I have is that it spits out very sharp (for aluminum) shavings. Be sure to wear protective gear. I would buy again, no problem.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

If you shape aluminum look no further

I bought this cutter because I needed to shape and prepare a series of castings for welding. It has had 6 surgeries and is chip free and still sharp. This child also had a difficult life. It is used in an electric grinder and is used to machine large parts of heavy castings. It's not impervious to aluminum fill, but it's one of the best burrs I've used to keep it clean even when it's hot.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Seller Communication
