Fits 2006 Trailblazer

Installation on the 2006 Trailblazer was easy. Fixed hum in old bearing. A trick was used to lift and spin each wheel while holding the coil spring to feel the vibrations. Confirmed we've changed right side before and felt the difference in vibrations amplified by the spring.

Fits Trailblazer 2003

The SUV started to make noise, especially when cornering and at speeds above 40 km/h. For the first time I changed something after the original had run 17 years and 173,000 miles. The first certainly took longer, but the second took about an hour using only some basic tools (no pneumatics). Now a very smooth ride.

Always buy a Timken! fits spares

Replaced both front hubs on a 2008 Forerunner and I have to say not bad at all. The discs are like new again and it only took about an hour to install. Should last a long time. In my 45+ years as a retired auto mechanic, I have always used Timken bearings. Of course there are cheaper ones, but in my opinion you get what you pay for, especially the undercarriage parts!

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • No performance

Pretty easy install

Replaced both front bearings with a Trailblazer 07 with 193k miles in about an hour. This is a fairly simple setup. The ABS cable comes with all replacement mounting clips, so don't be too careful when removing the old ones. Torque the 3 hub bolts to 77 ft-lbs. If you have a 4x4 you will need a 35mm socket for the axle nut, the 2wd does not have an axle nut.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Anything I can add

Excellent parts, both sides replaced.

Both front axles mounted on a 2006 Trailblazer LS with no problems. Pretty easy to set up. Make sure you have a 35mm socket to remove the axle nut. They came with all cable clips. So if you screw the clip while removing the old one you'll be fine, but check the part before you break the old clips. I tried not to break the clips but then I realized they came with the clips and I just started removing them from the car to use the clips that came with the new part . The only negative, I wish I had

  • Everything is fine!

I bought this unit about 15 months ago and it had a bearing failure. The warranty was one year so I was a little upset. I called Revain customer service and explained that the reason I bought Timken was their excellent quality and reputation and I was disappointed that they went bad just after a year. Also explained my visit to the Timken website and found that the warranty is 3 years. To my surprise and delight, the Revain representative agreed to send me a replacement free of charge and…

Replaced 2006 Buick Ranier Bearings

A noticeable rumble began to appear from the front of our Ranier. This always signals a problem with the front wheel bearing. I don't understand why GM can't control metal or grease. Heck, even our old 2000 Olds Bravada went through multiple sets of bearings. In the old days (60's-70's) the front wheel bearings worked and were never changed. And if you replace them, it only costs about $10; not hundreds. Enough complained. I replaced both bearings with these Timken bearings. The project went…

2005 Trailblazer EXT

Very Nice! I am impressed with the customer care and the quality of the bearings. I called to inquire about torque specs as most of the time improper torque is the primary cause of early failure. If you don't want to replace these things, I suggest you tighten them. Yes you can google and find specs but you will get different opinions. It is ALWAYS best to contact the manufacturer and find out what THEY recommend as they will provide the warranty. The main axle nut weighs 103 ft.lbs. for this…
