Not a fan of the lid. It comes off too easily if something else gets in the freezer, exposing the ice to be burned in the freezer. I'll try fruit instead of ice cream

I only got to use it once before it broke. I put my homemade ice cream in here which froze quite hard, the scoop of sumo ice cream hit the floor and cracked the floor. I am very disappointed because more flexible plastic would be much better, this product is overpriced for what it is. So now I'm stuck trying to "thaw" my ice bucket in the pool of water so I can use the shovel to get around. Instead I had to buy smaller 1/2 pint containers that are made out of softer plastic.

This container holds a lot of ice without taking up much freezer space. The design makes it easy to get out ice cream without littering in the corners like disposable boxes. The lid also closes well so the ice doesn't burn in the freezer. We put our ice in the dishwasher, which Tovolo says is possible. It was great until it broke. I wish I had bought four of these as they are expensive for something that doesn't last long. Within the first month of using the strawberry colored Glide-A-Scoop tub, one end of the tub broke internally. It can be seen that the plastic becomes very brittle when it is cold.
