Can it be welded? If you can go ahead, build your own flip latch. There's nothing to see here. If you can't do this, this gives the thief a second break. I don't think it's worth $80. and I won't be buying another one, but of course there's nothing wrong with the product other than that it's overpriced.

Great product. I recently had $2,500 worth of tools stolen from my locked construction truck. The police wished them luck in their search. I bought two SnatchLatch cases and haven't had any issues since. This product is well designed, is a visual deterrent and might make the poor guy move on to the next bad trailer. Many Thanks

Deadbolt eliminates the possibility of simply picking the lock in a second as it is much more difficult to access. No scissors or wire cutters I own will cut the sides. A thief can always cut through the trailer door handle at the roll bar, but that makes noise. I put one on the front door and also the back doors of the barn just to be a burglar if you choose another target.

I installed the latch on my 20ft shipping container and it works great. It is important to buy the lock size they recommend. I settled on a main lock with a hardened steel shank that would be difficult to cut with bolt cutters. The best part is that it's nearly impossible to even stick bolt cutters in the trap to cut through the lock. Same with mills. It took a blowtorch to cut through the bolt and lock. Very good product and very durable. I would recommend this lock to anyone who needs to lock

Wow! This thing takes the security of a typical trailer clasp to a whole other level. Here in East Tennessee, trailers and their contents seem to be a constant target. There must be people who just roam the streets looking for unsupervised trailers at workplaces and motels. I've learned that open padlocks don't keep these people out.
