Why can't they fix it?

A bit pricey @$4.00+ per ounce so getting a bottle with a loose top and almost half empty is a disappointment. him back. I hoped it wouldn't be too empty and I could move on. If you cover the bottle with foil before screwing on the cap, you will have this problem. By paying $4 an ounce, they can afford that little upgrade in the manufacturing department to make sure people actually get what they pay for. I haven't used either product myself, so I can't attest to how well it works. .Update…

Warning: Possible allergen

Three stars for the actual product: I think it worked. I think the oil is to prevent the sawdust from sticking to the diamond plates and the trend liquid turns black very quickly compared to water and windex. But as a newbie to sharpening, I can't say I've noticed an improvement in performance. I wanted to point out that the product caused me hives. So many different things get done in one day that it's hard to be sure, but Trend's hives and ointment were too consistently linked to be a…

It works, but at a price of

I have to admit right away that I'm not picky, everything is in its place, everything is a razor shop like a carpenter. That doesn't mean I don't take care of and take care of my tools. I'm just not a fanatic or a perfectionist when it comes to service at any price. Life is too short. I'm just saying this because I feel like I can get pretty good, if not equally good, results with common products like a washer fluid sprayer. It's NO big deal to me to clean (ie dry) the stone after use. I keep…

Any guesses: power tools and hand tools

I'm new to diamond stones and lubes for them so I was looking for some info. Water is good or bad (rust). Water with soap or soap diluted with water. Oil or no oil? There are many concerns related to water, the ability to fully dry a diamond stone, and rust. Various oils raise concerns about their molecular thickness due to the size of diamonds and their nickel content. Your lube may be thick enough to fill your stone's jets, causing whatever you're sharpening to float above the diamond…
