you get what you pay for

you get what you pay for. I'm only giving 2 stars because of the included adapter that allows the mirror to fit any RAV4 of this generation. The mirrored glass shook more than a golf cart mirror, and in the slightest breeze the mirror was almost useless for seeing traffic behind you. If you don't mind a mirror that constantly looks like it's in an earthquake while you're driving, then go ahead. Otherwise spend your money elsewhere. I ended up returning and buying a used OEM mirror

It was suddenly a normal day.

My mailbox reached out and killed the passenger mirror! It was terrible. Plastic everywhere, poor thing hanging from a wire. I jumped out, carefully picked it up and grabbed the white tape from the glove box. What? Don't have duct tape in yours? Took my mirror for emergency sorting. I turned to the mailbox and practiced baseball for a few minutes. The mirror failed. That night I found this beautiful new mirror calling my name. The company understood my loss. They were helpful, polite and…

The good news is that it also fits on the control/power connector.

Installed this mirror on a 2011 RAV4 today. The good news is that it fits snugly and the control/power connector is the right type. Unfortunately it is wired differently. I connected the original connector to this mirror. For those who run into this, here is what worked for me: ORIGINAL - NEWYellow - PurpleBlue - RedGrey - Brown Please note this was for a 2011 RAV4 base, power mirrors, no heater or with turn signals. Also note that I'm partially color blind! In general relatively satisfied…

I do not recommend purchasing this item if you are unfamiliar with it.

As other posters have written, the wiring does not fit. I have a 2012 Rav4 base. It took over 2 hours to install this trying to figure out the correct wiring. I had to remove the wires from the connector and connect them as follows: green to brown, blue to red, and yellow to purple. I do not recommend purchasing this item unless you are comfortable splicing wires and willing to take the time to do it OR you don't want to wire and just leave the mirror in manual mode. No FAQ or help from the…

The perfect replacement part for a 2006 RAV4 Limited!

This part is a hell of a lot better than spending $200-300 on an OEM part. Comes with black outer shell, 3 Phillips screws, mirror assembly and adapter for newer RAV4 models. The outer shell is packaged separately so you can just use the original if you want or need to paint it. The installation went smoothly and without any problems. There are no instructions included, so read on! The power cord is a little longer than the OEM, but that's not a problem. The OEM mirror also uses 3 bolts instead

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • There are drawbacks

Mirrors and bodywork seem fine, no not as tight as I was hoping, but I haven't noticed any wobbling or the mirror itself has lost its position, but we'll take a look at that. I followed the instructions in a couple of YouTube videos I found on replacing the RAV 4's side mirrors and to be honest, despite the wiring delay, the entire replacement was one of the easiest DIY jobs I've tried. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the wiring is not compatible with my car model, although Revain said…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • I don't really have a problem with it, everything is fine
