I have owned one of these tweezers for 10 years and absolutely LOVE them. Unfortunately I lost her about 2 weeks ago. So I ordered 4 replacements (2 in a tube and 2 on a keychain). I don't understand what happened to the quality of these tweezers. Yes, it WAS 150% THE BEST tweezers ever made. These are great little tweezers for everyday use and/or camping medicine kits. As others have said the quality of the product seems to have diminished very little over the years but the problem most now have with these tweezers is easily solved with a good whetstone and/or sharpening board. They're just as strong as Uncle Bill's old Splinter Grips, the problem now is the ends aren't sharpened like they were made many years ago. I've been looking for some key tweezers and these are just what you need! They are slim, compact and stamped "Made in the USA". they actually sting! Are they perfect now? As far as plucking goes, the Uncles come across as mediocre at best compared to my $30 mid-range tweezers.
