High Detail for FDM Printer

There is no way to adapt an FDM printer to a resin printer but if you want to make a mini printer without spending another $200+ , this works great. You won't have commercial quality items, but if everyone is looking at your mini, they will. I see it. Pictured is the same model painted and printed using one of these nozzles and then a resin copy. Additional models added 23mm D20 for scaling.

Pros
  • Pack: 4 0.4mm Nozzles
Cons
  • Long Delivery Time

They don't go with everything

They look good, seem well made. An important topic. It is indeed an M6 thread, but the thread depth is not suitable for everything. I've tried using them with Slice Engineering Mosquito but the filaments are too long to get into the thermal block. The Slice steel bit is a perfect match for both, so just by looking at them you can tell the difference in how the threads are made. On the other hand, it fits perfectly with the MK8 hotend for my Ender 3.

Pros
  • Nozzle size: 0.4mm, M6 thread to use 1.75mm filament
Cons
  • boring packaging

Terrible Under Extrusion

Wanted to try nickel plated nozzles as they are said to be less prone to electrostatic attraction of PETG to the nozzle (causing it to curl back into the nozzle instead of sticking to the base). So I ordered these, put them on with my usual PETG brand and it was like it was stuffed from the first skirt. Did a complete disassembly, cleaned, stowed everything very carefully. Still squeezing bursts, and then nothing. Go back to a known good dry PLA, same very intrusive extrusion. Switch to my…

Pros
  • Compatible with V6 V5 Hotend, Ultimaker 2+ Olsson Block Hotend, Prusa i3 Mk3 mk3s Anycubic I3 Mega 3D Printer
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
