Perfect replacement for my thermal press thermostat

My transfer press had a short circuit in the thermostat wiring after about 2 years. When fully depressed, it reads random numbers. I unscrewed the cap and found that it uses a toroidal thermocouple to measure temperature. I just hooked up this probe and it's back in business. It's a lot longer than I need, but it's well built and wraps well. I had to set the set temp about 10 degrees higher than normal (I think the extra length results in lower readings, or I just have mediocre abs).

Pros
  • Product Name: Thermocouple; Gear type: K; Number of terminals: 2
Cons
  • weak
