This is an excellent monitor that outperforms it in terms of contrast. I have three of these screens; I bought two of these from the Revain store. Now they are all calibrated with DisplayCAL using ColorMunki Photo and i1DisplayPro. My settings included: 2.2 Gamma Tone Curve, XYZ LUT + Matrix and I used 11,140 test patches. 0.48 Maximum ΔE: 1.41 --- 1.84 --- 1.78 Static contrast: 3223 --- 4778 --- 5081 (:1) Black level: 0.0144 --- 0.0093 -- - 0.0088 (cd/m2) white value at 0% brightness: 46.4 ---

Good. Maybe you're in the same boat as me. I have a Surface Pro 3 (SP3), a very powerful tablet laptop. This year I've transitioned from a full-featured dual-screen work computer to my personal Surface Pro for work and play. that I need an extended monitor. I needed a second monitor at a low to moderate price to replace an older model. I bought this to match my other existing monitor without spending too much. A monitor with or without built-in speakers costs the same. The speakers are incredibly poor, very tinny and very quiet, but they didn't cost me anything. Another downside is that there is no height adjustment and the screen is only 3 inches above the tabletop. Otherwise it works fine in every way.

Bought this monitor as a gift. It has an amazing display and the colors are wonderful. I highly recommend this monitor if you need a monitor replacement.

What a perfect solution to monitor my video service system. Doesn't take up much space, supports HDMI and is inexpensive.

Colors are good, but volume from the speakers in the monitor is no more than a whisper. I called ViewSonic tech support and this guy wasn't much help. I connected my old speakers and they continue to work great. I love how sharp the screen is and it was pretty easy to put together. Just READ the instructions!

Great picture, just hooked it up to my computer and it worked, haven't messed around with the drivers (yet). I wish it had an HDMI input, but it works fine with an INTEL NUC with an HDMI to DVI cable. (Make sure you 'select' the option for DVI and Speakers, otherwise you'll only have a VGA connector). The speakers sound pretty quiet, even at full volume, but I haven't checked for updated drivers or other possible causes - external speakers work fine though.

It doesn't have HDMI or USB ports, I can't connect anything to it, and no adapter cable is provided to fix this problem. Thanks for attention.

I was looking for a portable monitor (20" or smaller) with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and digital input (HDMI or DVI). It was the only monitor that met those criteria. Lower resolution panels (e.g. 1600x900/1366x768). There are also a few small USB-powered monitors, but they don't support proper HDMI/DVI input, relying instead on sending video data over a USB cable over DisplayLink. Very good. Transparent. Easy to set up. The only downside is that the speakers are so low that they're almost inaudible. We had to give up our old speakers. The rest of the monitor is good.

3rd day with this monitor and everything is fine. Easy setup. I use it for my home office as a second monitor. Dead Pixels: These are defective pixels that remain black or constantly lit on the display..

They have integrated turning off into the menu, turning off can be very annoying. I'll never buy anything like that again. Aside from the poor power cut method, it works as you would expect from a 1080p monitor at 60Hz

So far this monitor works great. It's a bit smaller (19.5") than my other monitors, but works great on my new PC I've built. Only a VGA cable is supplied, but I already had a DVI cable and used that. It's a good 1080p high definition and I'm happy with it. I got the driver for it from the ViewSonic website. Windows only installed the generic driver.

If you plan on working from home, stay away from it at all costs. It's totally flimsy and cheap. Also, it's very small and you can't see your working environment on it. I went against my common sense and figured I could get away with it, damn I was wrong. There are also no HDMI ports, only VGA and DVI. This place is on the shelf of a thrift store.

I'm not a professional photographer but we use Adobe Photoshop for a small graphic design business and they work great. Sure there are much better monitors out there, but I don't make a living from books. I spent way too much time reading to find the right monitors and just wrapped them up and bought them net. Glad you did!

The monitor is the second screen on my desk at home. I entered my office and the picture is as clear as can be. Good price and good product.
