Easy to use once you know the cutting surface. You need to drive slowly and do multiple passes to get a good lead. I find it overpriced for what it is but there are many better ones out there. If you have a small closet I think that's fine, but an entire kitchen might not.

What I like about it is that I can control the pressure on the edge of 1/4", 1/2" or 3/4" plywood and a get a good trim This can be hard to do with a double edge trimmer (I have one, I replaced it with this one) I'm not sure how long the blades will last but I like the trimmer itself.

Good solution. I used it about 15 feet from the white chipboard edge. Then I display it with a file. Not sure how long the two cutting edges will last, but so far so good. The blade floats a little. It is important to align and tighten it properly before first use. When the tool arrived the blade held loose.

I've only had this in my hands for a few days and I can say just in time! If you use this tool along with the other $5.p. use, reduce the cutting time of glued edge by 2/3. And it does a great job. Also, as I see in many reviews of other products, there are people who shouldn't be using tools! Simple / clean / and didn't scratch my work. NICE

I would give it 5 stars but just a few questions. First, for this price, it should come with a SHARP replacement blade. Second, like most trimmers, the design allows only the thinnest of chips to exit without interrupting a clean cut. If there's significant scrap they will painfully drive the wood right into your fingers, so be sure to cut substantial scrap first. All this to say that this is the best design of the three trimmers I have and at least not in plastic!

I still doubt it. I've been a carpenter for almost 25 years, so I know how to use the tools. The way it happened was unsuitable for thin/finished goods. It may have worked on the cabinet paneling. It might have scratched the melamine but I try to stay away from that stuff so I didn't have anything to test with. I left a line on the surface of a finished birch.
