After 30 minutes of napping I still can't align the two screw holes. Finally joined the fights, started the bike and no difference in sound. save your money Shameless waste of time. I lost $600 between the muffler and bulkheads. Good looking.

The diameter of the part was too big so I had to hammer it into the core. The set screws also don't line up with the holes in the core, so I was only able to fit one of the set screws. If you want to appease Shorty, just do yourself a favor and get another exhaust.

I'm not sure if this insert will make my Voodoo exhaust legal but knowing I have it is reassuring. Here in California, the police stop drivers and passengers for whatever reason. if I ever get pulled over for a loud exhaust. I would tell them I have a septum. So let me go :) High quality aluminum. Make sure all nuts and bolts are secured with Loctite "red thread lock".

I ended up having to drill holes in the core of the divider. One hole was at 6 o'clock and the other at about 1 o'clock on the core of the baffle, while the insert has holes at 12 and 6. I also had to drill some holes as this insert doesn't reach the holes. Once installed it has mitigated the higher, penetrating exhaust spectrum and made driving much more enjoyable. Still very loud, and without it sounds a little meaner than deaf.

Bought for my R1. It was as loud as it could be without it, plus you could hear the trumpet sound from the hollowed out voodoo whistle. It took care of all of that. Since this item is so cheap, it is absolutely worth the money. I haven't put my bike on a dyno, but the front wheel still goes up as it always does after installation, as does the voodoo pipe. I don't have an odometer, but I've driven it several thousand miles with no problems.

This will make your voodoo exhaust perfect. I don't use an insert on the track, but when we drive into town in the evening the exhaust sounds perfect. Set up in 5 minutes max. Simply loosen the hex head screw and pull out the inner bushing. The insert is screwed to the holes already drilled. I have no problem with this issue or easing.
