Love these devices in the Wiring and Connection section

I didn't know these devices existed until I researched online how to connect 5 or more wires to nuts. This connector is so easy to use that I will probably never use a nut to connect more than 3 wires again. Sometimes new technology really is better!

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

The best after slicing the bread

Wire nuts? GOODBYE! No more twisted boys. No more finger cramps. PLUS, you can see the ends of the copper wires through the clear plastic ends, so you know all wires are connected. PLUS, it's easy to add another cable to the junction box. And yes, it's relatively easy to disconnect the wires from them. buy you!

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • So far, so good

Really practical: wiring and connection

Great if you have a box with several sockets and several cable inlets and outlets. I have a few boxes that I need to tie 6-8 pads together in. Thing saves a lot of space compared to a bunch of wire nuts or smaller wagos. It doesn't use levers like the other Wagos, but it still holds the wires securely. Twist back and forth to remove the wires.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Some little things

Do not use stranded wire! Otherwise works great

I'm very happy with it, works great for T8 lamp socket. Huge time saver and much safer than swivel connectors. Someone else in the comments here said that 16 gauge stranded wire will work if you "tin" it with solder first. No it won't! I strongly advise against using stranded wire with them. Otherwise, I am very satisfied.

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • I don't really like it, it's ok

Better than nuts

I have connected several Wi-Fi switches with this. Wi-Fi switches tend to be bulkier and don't have much room in the electrical box. This means the wire nuts take up a lot of space and interfere with the installation. Push cable nuts are smaller and allow multiple cables to be terminated in a lower profile configuration. Just think of a bunch of 8-12 gauge wires bundled with a large wire nut.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Almost never

You will love my nuts!

These things are great. Don't let grumpy electricians tell you otherwise. I've seen them used for many years in a variety of conditions with little to no failure. The 8-wire option is great for keeping the ground or neutral clean, e.g. B. in a multi-post junction box. Follow the instructions! Strip the correct amount and in series between the conductors and insert until it stops. You will never have any problems.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Not bad

Good product, does its job; really bulky

These are excellent products. They get the job done and work really well if you have enough space in the junction boxes. My J-Boxes are quite cramped, so it was very difficult for me to manipulate the bundle of wires inside the J-Box. The 8-wire connector made the cable bundle very stiff. These wire connectors will do the job. Just make sure you have enough room in your J-box to manipulate the wire bundle.

Pros
  • few competitors
Cons
  • unreliable

12-Gauge Wire?: Wiring and Connection

WAGO Union Nuts are described as accepting 12-gauge stranded wire. I've tried inserting 12 gauge stranded wire several times to no avail. Even when fresh, straight-cut and stripped, there is usually either twisting of the strands or bending of the wire due to over-diameter insulation, or both. I've only dabbled in 12 gauge since I got them about a week ago (that's why I bought them), but I'm sure they'll work fine in 14 gauge or less. I'm new to them so it may take a little experimentation to…

Pros
  • Handy Item
Cons
  • So Far, So Good

Doesn't hold as tight as a nut

Wires don't hold as well as a nut. I had to put 4 12ga wires plus a pigtail in a back box. The wires don't bend easily and the force required to position them in exactly the right place pulls them out of the wago. To disconnect the cables, grab the Wago, take it out of the box and twist it back and forth. The shutdown takes about a second. The old fashioned irreverent wire nut has superior grip and durability (when tightened with pliers until the wires start to twist) and is smaller than Wago…

Pros
  • Nice thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
