Weatherproof Extension Cord Connection Box Review

I've had problems with electric cables for years. NTM WAF is not happy either. seen and bought. Worth every penny as the pictures show. WAF rejoices.

This box will ONLY work with thin power cords or extension cords. Absolutely useless when trying to pull off middle overtime. The box is not closed! Sent back the same day I received it! The only reason I gave it two stars is because the print feels decent when you can close it.

Other reviews here are correct. If you are using heavier cords like those supplied with pumps, it is almost impossible to thread them into the grooves and then close the retaining clip. In addition, the connector must be very compact. I tried two before finding a third that was short enough to fit. After doing everything but stepping on the retaining clip to close it, it still wasn't fully sealed. We'll see what happens, but I'm disappointed.

I am VERY dissatisfied with this product! I installed it no more than 10 minutes ago using an extension cord and snowman outlet plug. I bought this box to protect the connector from the elements when temporarily connecting two outdoor extension cords to a shorter outdoor power cord. I have used a different style of front yard decorative boxes and have added to them over the years. I'm paranoid about electricity mixed with water so use boxes like these as connections for all your decorations. These boxes are great. I have a 1_1/2 HP pool pump. I also have another 10 gauge extension that has an oxygen generator and UV sterilizer. Wires larger than 14 gauge will not fit in this box. So the 2 10 gauge cords I have will not fit unless I remove anything weatherproofing the cord holes. I would like the seller to state this fact in the description of the box and I would save myself the headache of ordering this.
