I first got a kit with the wheels mounted on spindles (no ball bearings). I couldn't even move my 1992 Corvette. I returned them and received these and I was able to move the car easily. Don't buy a cheap set or you will regret it. It's good. Oh yes, they have rubber wheels that make full contact with the cement floor and roll well. DO NOT use steel wheels as they will not flex and every little imperfection in your cement floor will keep you warm.

Pros
  • . Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Do not overload maximum weight

These carts work well on smooth surfaces. The wheel is a bit small so it doesn't do very well on heavily worn concrete and asphalt with lots of holes and chips. Also, carts work great. Just don't overdo it with the max load capacity, I overdid it a bit and it starts rolling the wrong way. I wanted the plate to flex, so I reduced the weight a bit. and it works fine. It's good enough, I'll order another kit for another project vehicle.

Sturdy and rolls great on smooth floors

I have a garage where I have to turn 90 degrees side by side to put my trailer in the garage (I have a support leg). I jack up my UTV quicklyโ€”slide it under (handles help) and lower it onto it. The wheels are metal, so ideally the floor should be level. I can step up to a ยฃ2,000 car myself - push in front, push in back. There's a lock on the wheels, but I haven't found a need - I just hammer it in when I'm totally worried. They add about 3 inches to the height of the car, but I have absolutelyโ€ฆ

No rolling with 3200 lb car

They appear to be heavy duty but I put them under a 1950 Ford car on a smooth concrete garage floor and they are very heavy that to move the car at all. I took each wheel apart and lubricated them more than they came up with and it made no difference. The car weighs 3200 pounds or less. I think the stamped steel tab under the washer and bolt combined with the wheel diameter can give weight. I like the design but they just don't work. So I will try the more expensive ones with higher wheelsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • Older model

Spend your extra money and buy a quality set

TLDR: steel plates are ok. The cutscenes are terribly awful - just know that you need to "upgrade" them with high-quality cutscenes - or better yet, save yourself the time, hassle, and money and buy a quality set to get started. I'm old enough to know better. Buy quality first and only cry once. But cheap and cry, cry and cry. Getting around the car still requires some effort, but I could do some things myself. In theory, I only have to move the car twice a year. Push once to the side of theโ€ฆ
