rear washer pump ordered - got front washer pump - sent back and reordered - got different front washer pump - decided to hell with that and Frankenstein screwed it on him anyway. The pump works fine, I just didn't want to cut the connector to install it.

I only gave 3 stars because Revane said it would work on my 2003 Chevy Suburban. But the connector is at the wrong angle. It might work well, but I don't know. I think it's more Revain's fault than the manufacturer's. I spent a little more and got the part I needed from my local car dealer.

Old pump worked but was leaking. Simply unplug the connector and hose, pull out the old pump and snap in the new one. Reunite, Fill and Rock and Roll. Front and back are different, do not confuse. Take a picture so you can properly understand the location of the hose and cable. I had to remove part of the air intake to access the parts. Before installing, check the pins and make sure they are straight.

Be careful you may have to return it if you buy it for a 2001 (and other model year?) Suburban rear pump. Advertised as a rear pump but is actually a front pump. How do I know? I bought replacement front (from another supplier) and rear (from this supplier) pumps for my Suburban and when they arrived they were both identical including the wiring harness connector. And the one of this brand will NOT match the rear pump wiring harness. i had to send it back

This washer pump was priced right. Even if you are not very experienced in auto mechanics, this installation will not be a big deal. Worst of all, you have to remove 4 or 5 plastic "screws" to be able to remove the plastic of the inner fender as well as the battery and the battery plate underneath. Once you've got them out of the way, the rest is pretty easy: pull down on the washer fluid reservoir to access the pumps, hoses, electrical connections, etc. I probably spent an hour total on this…

The electrical plug is for GRONT, not REAR. In my case, the rear pump broke and all the liquid I poured into the reservoir leaked out. When I went to install this replacement I noticed that there was a hose clamp on the front pump suggesting it was broken as well, although I thought it was still pumping fluid. Long story short, the part I bought here initially plugs the rear to keep the washer fluid from spilling onto the floor, but I will purchase the correct pump for the rear at my local auto
