Not bad, best in water sports

A good solid line. Still a bit stiff but used to it. Update: After a few months of use, the leash is still very stiff and tangles easily. As a result, my feet got stuck too often on the ascent. i get something else

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Update opportunity

Disappointing in watersports

I have had this leash for a month and a half now. I've used it on my Wavestorm board over 30 times. It got stuck and was too difficult to remove. I ride 2-3 foot waves in Orange County and the leash came off during practice today. I will not buy again.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Lanyard

Good leash for water sports

I bought this leash to walk with a foam board and wanted to save some money. It was packaged very professionally and after a few surfs it's holding up great. The hook part of the Velcro is different from other brands but holds up just as well. The cuffs are large enough for the largest ankles and have an integrated key pocket. So far, so good!

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Little things

Budget Surf Leash

I give this leash 4 stars for its value. Nothing special except that it works great and I like leashes with a ring to hold on to when unbuckling the leash. The ankle strap velcro is a little different from regular velcro and works well if you apply a little pressure to ensure it is secure when tightening. I had untied the leash at the ankle strap before, but once I started taking the extra 5 seconds to make sure it was secure, the leash was fine.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

Ankle strap came loose on first use

They seem to be of good quality but yesterday I was disappointed with my first use at the Marina in Venice. Pulled waist high out of a 2 foot wave and the ankle strap snapped right off my foot and I forced myself to paddle with my butt to keep more of the board from hitting the rocks. If he can't handle a small wave I'm afraid of what will happen on a good day. I would spend the extra $5 and get a better quality ankle strap. And that stupid "waterproof phone case" is the dumbest thing I've ever

Broken case and now a young man's iPhone at the bottom of the ocean

DO NOT TRUST THIS ORGANIZATION stands behind their product (or that Revain will help you). Bought because the leash came in a waterproof case. I thought it would be nice to photograph our nonprofit surfing program for at-risk South Central youth (a truly healing experience). The case strap broke (without a hit - the photo shows where the strap clip came loose) and now my young co-worker's iPhone is lying on the seabed. Her response was basically "You're out of luck". They literally said they…

GARBAGE LINE - DON'T LOSE YOUR MONEY

Economical garbage line. Used several times. Came out in a few days. The leash kept coming off my leg and throwing the board onto the rocks. No matter how hard I tried to attach it to my leg. I swam out and it came off easily from rowing or the action of the waves. Eventually, at the end of the day (which only ended because of a bad leash), the leash broke at the junction with the board. I left myself in the middle of the ocean and swam a long way back to get my board off the rocks. It's the…

broke in a 2ft wave after less than 6 months of use

While the leash was great for the months it lasted (keyword lasted) it couldn't do a 2ft wave deal with, which is quite worrying and dangerous. Luckily the set wasn't overcrowded so the board didn't hit anyone, but we could really run into trouble if the waves or crowd were a bit bigger. leaves me no way to contact WOOWAVE as I made this purchase over 3 months ago. I know it's only $16 but the lack of customer service will definitely put me off buying this product again or recommending it to…

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Some flaws

Inexpensive artificial leash

When open this product looks like a well made leash. It wasn't until I started surfing that I realized it was a cheap fake. Two things: The nylon cord stretches slightly. I'm not sure what the material is, but you can literally feel it stretch like toffee when you test it with your hands. It's no good if it's 8 feet long! Second, and what challenges the cord's cheapness, is that the velcro is flimsy and comes off easily. I felt him let go after being hit by a three foot wave. No hard tugging…
