Love it - my favorite Worx tool!

I've used small torches whenever I've had to use shrink fittings and tubing in the field. It's much nicer. Nothing burns or melts!

Pros
  • That's great
Cons
  • It's ok

You need to buy a lot of accessories to use it. Returned.

Finally returned. I had to buy an adapter, battery and charger separately. Total would have been around $150 which looked like a budget buy given the size. I ended up finding a good size with everything for $100 all inclusive.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Heats up fast, very hot air

I like how quickly it heats up before use. It heats up to the maximum temperature almost immediately. I bought it to remove old rusty nails which certainly helps. I love that it's part of the MAKERx line of products so all my batteries etc already work with it. It is lightweight, easy to use and quick to process. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Good but not great

Solid heater, easy to use

I prefer not to be tied to an outlet so it came in handy although it's definitely more expensive than a traditional heat gun. It's not exactly "wireless" though. It still connects to the Maker x, although I can put it in my pocket while I work with it. It heats up pretty quickly, which is also a good thing. I recommend it, but really only if you need to detach and are already using Maker x accessories.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Upgrades available

Extremely comfortable!

I love this new hair dryer! I don't have much experience with "power tools" and this is so easy to use. It heats up with no latency, has a comfortable hand shape, and I love how easy it is to use thanks to the removable battery. I first used this for the project shown above, hand-painting wooden decorations with a pyrography pen (and a nice wooden sign on the door). Super super easy and I love how they turned out. I love using it for embossing and other crafts!

Pros
  • Ease of use
Cons
  • Transparency

Gladly for heat guns

I chose the Worx Skin Tool for light work. I liked the size. And a battery. I like collecting speaker cables. Shrink tubing required. I don't like juggling lighters, butane torches, the heat gun seemed expensive, cumbersome and just plain dangerous. Enter this awesome little device. Ideal. size and price. It is a pleasure to work with him, especially because of his agility. Another plus: as soon as you turn it off, it feels cool in seconds. So it can be removed quickly without hesitation. It…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • When in doubt

Nice concept though. in the field of welding and soldering

I bought most of the tools in the Worx Maker X family The concept of interchangeable tools on a controller and battery really intrigued me, mainly for use on Go Board of an old sailing boat, on which projects are constantly underway. My usage is probably a bit more than the Worx intended for the Maker X system, but since I already had a few Worx tools and batteries I decided to give these tools a try. So far I would rate the devices a two to five for usefulness and functionality. The heat gun…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • I won't say anything
