I love the natural look of curls. A few tips will help you: You first have to get used to this curling iron. You will be burned when you first learn how to use this. Do not attempt this without a glove on your hand wrapping the hair around the shaft. Make sure to loosen the hair from the bottom of the shaft and fold it back after each curl. The glove is awfully tight for a man but doesn't burn through. There is definitely a learning curve. However, my hairstylist told me that she liked my beachy waves this morning. Let's see how I act when she cuts my beard this week. Those minor hiccups aside, after watching the Xtava Curling Wand tutorial video I'll probably do better next time and would like to upgrade to a 5 star rating. If I could give this product zero stars, I would. Using the item started well, the product worked and I never used it at 425F but at 325-350 max. It rotated normally and worked to a halt. Once, as I was curling up, the object shorted out and exploded inches from my face. If I was 1 second late I would have burned myself pulling it out of my hair while curling. My daughter gave me this for my birthday so I stopped using it. I had the same experience from the first use when it burned my hair.
