Tried a few carafes here at Revain and the coffee went cold after a few hours. The last one was a real Duzi. When you poured the first cup from it, it burst as if the seal had been broken, but then it wouldn't close again. So he came to where we waited for the others to get ready for the coffee before we poured more coffee. How painful. This carafe? That's a bomb! I made coffee at 6am, had it all day and just poured a cup at 2:38pm and it's still hot. Finally. A carafe that does what it should.

I have had a Gevalier glass liner thermos for almost 8 years of use on hikes and off road adventures in the desert and elsewhere. I kept it in plastic containers in the back of the truck. Depending on the route, everything wears out at the back in the back, and yet this blockage lasted for a long time until the glass insert broke and began to leak. This decanter worked great for about a month and today (2 days after closing the returns window) the inner glass liner broke without falling or being hit will . unusual effect. I heard some rattling as I tilted the carafe to pour, then turned the base and found the liner was broken. My guess is that the liner ripped during shipping and eventually ruptured due to expansion and contraction from heating and cooling during normal use. I bought these to make coffee and take it upstairs while planning my board which I do every early morning. This mug has done its job well so far, but I'll try a different one in the future.
