Great monitor. - my new rating

I needed a nice big monitor for my laptop (Macbook Pro 13' 2017) and since Lg makes monitors for Apple and they have the latest resolution and technology I went with this one. I did a lot of research, a guy in the store recommended LG for the picture quality and colors. I've been using it for a week now and these are my thoughts. Outstanding picture quality for pictures and videos. I will not be using this monitor for gaming, only for web surfing, image editing and design. The resolution is so high that you can now tell if images are low resolution on the web or in general. The 4K video resolution looks amazing. It seems designed for gaming, the monitor has a lot of settings for gaming. As for the sound, the speakers sound really bad as most users say. I'm using external speakers so I won't be using internal ones. To get 4k at 60Hz I had to use it via the Displayport and a USB Type-C cable to HDMI via the Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter. gave me a speed of 30Hz. The DisplayPort setting gave me a higher resolution than HDMI, up to 3840 x 2160. The best that suits my screen is 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz. The HUGE disappointment is that I have a large black bezel that's about is an inch and a half and I can't fix it. This is called "underscanning" and neither LG nor Apple can offer me a solution to this problem. LG told me that the monitor is fine as it reads my Macbook's graphics card and that I should contact Apple. I contacted Apple and they couldn't find a solution to this problem either. So I use this 30 inch wide monitor, not 31.5 inch. Another solution was to change the aspect ratio settings on the monitor, but that didn't fix the issue either. I guess I'll have to live with it or until Apple or LG fix it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. I suggest if you have a new Apple computer (2016 or newer) buy a monitor with a USB-C port, HDMI and DP don't seem like the best option for a Mac at least for now. ***Update: After speaking to Apple support they were able to resolve my issue, they walked me through a series of steps to the point that I am now using my full screen mode (31.5" max) with no underscan and very happy with it my monitor am. Add another star. Thank you Apple and LG.
